Ay’Shah Brown

Ayshah Brown is an educator, community advocate, and student at the College of Alameda within the Peralta Community College District. She brings many years of leadership and youth organizing experience to her role, grounded in a deep commitment to justice, equity, and youth empowerment.

Ayshah was a founding member of FLY’s Alameda County Youth Advisory Council and also participated in FLY’s Content Creator Program. During her time with the Youth Advisory Council, she led the development of a comprehensive needs assessment for incarcerated young people in Alameda County and represented youth voices in numerous speaking engagements, including presentations with Alameda County Probation Officers and a judicial panel in Santa Clara County.

In addition to her work with FLY, Ayshah shares her talents as an elementary school educator in Oakland, supporting young students both academically and personally. As an Alumni Advisory Board member, she is passionate about ensuring that youth are meaningfully supported, centered in program design, and equipped with the knowledge, confidence, and tools to thrive beyond programming. Ayshah is deeply committed to showing young people, especially Black and Brown youth, that no space is out of reach and that their stories, ideas, and leadership belong in every room.
