About FLY’s Programs
FLY serves youth ages 11 to 24 who are currently, formerly, or at risk of juvenile justice system involvement. We educate them about the law and their rights, support them to become leaders among their peers and in their communities, and give them positive mentors and role models. FLY’s core programs – the Law, Leadership Training, and Mentor Programs – are based on ideas from youth who were facing years or life in prison. These ideas remain the foundation of FLY and have been strengthened with best practices in youth development and crime prevention. As a learning organization, we continue to be guided by the voices of our youth as they are the experts regarding their own experiences.
FLY offices are closed per local health orders but all of our programs are operating virtually during the pandemic. For examples and stories of how our youth and staff continue their work together, read FLY During COVID-19. You can read more about our work on our blog and on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube.
