Fresh Lifelines for Youth, (“FLY”) is an award winning nonprofit dedicated to breaking the cycle of violence, crime, and incarceration of teens. Working with youth who are a part of the juvenile justice system and those “at-risk” of entering the system, FLY offers innovative programs in legal education, leadership training, and one-to-one mentoring that inspire and empower youth to alter the trajectories of their lives.
Research based and outcome driven, FLY’s programs inspire and empower youth in the juvenile justice system and youth at-risk for system involvement to alter the trajectory of their lives by helping them identify, build upon, and re-direct their strengths.
FLY’s vision is that our most at-risk and disadvantaged youth will transform from juvenile delinquents into positive community leaders; our community will support them in their transformation process; and that juvenile justice systems will solicit and rely on the insights of probation youth they serve in order to transform their services to be truly rehabilitative.
There is some kind of magic that happens. They find the people who can see these troubled and difficult kids as the jewels that they truly are, people who are so committed that their case management doesn’t end at 5pm. Working with these amazing people, FLY kids ignite! Our kids come out of FLY programs with their souls and their beauty restored.

Fresh Lifelines for Youth (FLY) believes all our children deserve a chance to become more than their past mistakes. FLY prevents juvenile crime and incarceration through legal education, leadership training, and one-on-one mentoring. Through our programs, our most marginalized and under-served youth will gain the life skills and the character needed to exit or avoid the criminal justice system and transform from delinquent youth into positive community leaders.
